As you know, we have an Autonerdz YouTube channel:

We were thinking of doing another promotional video.  But then we started thinking that it would be much more believable coming from someone else as a testimonial.  I know we have a lot of talent out there that could do a much better job than we would anyway.

So, we are having a YouTube contest.  The rules are simple.  Make a YouTube ready video saying something about Autonerdz.  Maybe you have gotten something out of being a member of the Autonerdz Picogroup that you would like others to know about.  Maybe drinking the Pico Koolaid has given you an enlightening LSD experience you would like to share.  Maybe you are not even one of our customers (yet) but have benefitted from some of the resources we provide, like The Autonerdz Community Forums and want to talk about that.  Maybe you have enjoyed The Nerd Series on CD.  Pretty much anything goes.  Multiple entries are allowed.

To enter, if you are an Autonerdz Picogroup member, simply put your video up on the drop site (be sure to leave in the comments who did the video and that it is an entry for the contest).  If not, get it to us some other way (maybe something like http://www.largefilesasap.com/)   All entries become the property of Autonerdz to use as we see fit.  If you want credit for the video, give yourself credits in the video.  Brian and I will choose what we like the best.  This will not be based on anything other than our personal preferences.  We will choose the top eight from the entries submitted.  We will place these eight videos up on our YouTube channel and then members can vote for the winners.
 
We will have first and second prize winners.  First prize is a $500 gift certificate at the Autonerdz store.  Second prize is $250.

Contest ends December 31st.  Starting in January, we will go through the entries and select the top eight and place them on our YouTube channel.  When that is finished, we will let everyone know when the voting begins, how to vote, and when the voting will be closed.

Since Facebook bought and then promptly destroyed the large file drop site we had been using for years, we have a new drop site.

The good news is that this new drop site has more flexibility.  We have configured it so that it can be used by those who are not members of the Autonerdz Picogroup.

So, if you have a video for the contest and are not a member of the global Autonerdz Picogroup, you can upload your video to the new drop site.  Just contact us via email or PM for the login details.

We have a winner.  Randy Acavedo won the first prize having submitted the only entry.
