Use a photo editing program, to get the right size. If it’s just a little bigger the forum will resize it automatically.
Or email the picture to me and I’ll return it in the right size to you. :) |

Daniel,

I'm a little handicapped with photo editing - how much is too much? [smiley=confused.gif] Is that the size limit where a 200 kb file can be used and the forum resizes to 100 kb? Thanks, dave |
Title: Re: test Post by Daniel on Jan 1st, 2013 at 10:16am
The main reason your picture/avatar looks like that, is that the max pixels allowed is 100X100
And when you cut your picture in a rectangular shape the max height is adjusted to 100px and your side pixels is now set to what the corresponding size is set to. kb and px is 2 different things. Hope that make sense. :) Perhaps Tom / other can explain it better. |

Thanks Daniel. I will play with the pixel size and see if I can work it out.

Nice work Dave. 8-)
It’s a little easier with a drawn gif like yours, often you can just drag and push it into the right dimensions, and still keep the right proportions. If you do that with a photograph like Micks (without expensive photo software) you’ll turn Micks son into a little fat boy, or a violinist holding the instrument upside down. [smiley=rolleyes.gif] |
