Just to be clear, it's $650.00 a year for Autonerdz support  after purchasing a Picoscope from this site.  :-?

The first year is included in the purchase but you must pony up after that?  :-?

Not sure where you got that idea.  That has never been the case.

The Picogroup resources do not require renewal when you purchase an Autonerdz kit.  There are ways you can lose access to the Picogroup resources but how long you own your kit is not one of them.

Sorry...made a wrong assumption. You know how the word ass-u-me goes... :D

No problem.  It's clearly stated in the link that Karl put up but down the page a bit.  Your assumption is a common misconception.  I think some work from the concept that if it is too good to be true it probably isn't true.  Others have gotten this idea from disinformation posted on other forums.

Since we introduced PicoScope to this continent, we decided to break the mold and set a new industry standard for equipment training and support.  It was a big risk at the time but has served us well so we have no plans to change that.

Techs that purchased the original 212 model PicoScope Autonerdz kit over a decade ago are still enjoying the Picogroup resources.  The only difference is that we have expanded those resources in every year since.   ;)

An introduction to the Picogroup resources can be found here:

Oh yeah....

Welcome, Spoooolin.  Enjoy the forums.  We look forward to your contributions.   :)

Noooo, don't do that.  I am glad you brought that up.  If you are wondering, others are as well.

If you have other questions, fire away...

Yep, some of us are tool horders and still have 212's laying around.  Most of us that have bought from Tom continue to do so when new hardware and items come out.

It might also be worth mentioning that the support package focuses on the operation of the equipment. From my understanding the Pico for dealers have a little bit different software but the basic operation is similar.  The CTI instructor in my area has access to one for Aston Martin and it is a 3 ch with the 4th being used for NVH.

Again welcome to the forum Spoooolin

Sam

That is correct the Toyota pico 4423 I have is pretty much the same as my other pico 4423 apart from in the dealer software in pico diagnostics have a 4th section for NVH and channels B and C have provisions for accelerometers for NVH.
