Probe resistance
Oct 16th, 2011 at 6:12am

Hello to all
A question:
On pico I never understood what is the probe resistance.
I tried to do some measure of resistance, but it is always zero.
Does anyone know the practical use of this probe?
Thanks

Luca,

Ignore the resistance probe in the loaded section.  It should not be there.

There are PicoScope models that have this capability but that probe should not appear if your scope does not support it.  Just a bug.

But...resistance is a generally useless measurement anyway.  Voltage drop and current are much better as they test under dynamic load conditions.

Besides, you can graph resistance if you so desire by deploying a math channel using Ohm's law.

With the response Tom, very nice.
The resistance control in graphical form is useful when I unmount floating gasoline to control
