Hope to take the leap into Picoscope ownership maybe at tax time? Bought a cheap "name not be spoken here" scope to play with. Maybe play with it some this weekend?  Smiley

Always looking for others that are REALLY interested in fixing cars and not just looking for the quick (wallet flush) buck.

You have come to the right place Gail.  The people on here are very sharp and are very helpful.  Even before I became a full fledged pico member everyone was very helpful.  They won't give you a hard time if you put up captures from another scope, so If you want to post some stuff as you learn, that's ok.  I have quite a few vantage captures up in the forums and some modis captures before I bought my pico.  Welcome.

Welcome Gail!  Your just on the other side of Raleigh right?  I work in Greensboro.  Purchasing a pico from autonerdz will be the best decision you can make regarding scopes.

Bought a Hantek 1008C. I figured for $120.00 it was worth trying. Haven't used a scope much in the last 30 years. Watched a Youtube video on the latest Pico running a cyl balance test off alternator ripple. VERY COOL!

Yes, about 15 miles from the belt-line. Am currently between jobs. Only been back in this area since end of June. Tried a couple Indy shops but they are more concerned with car count than quality of repair.

I explain the best way to utilize my talent as treat me like you're growing mushrooms...put me in the dark, cover me with shit and leave me alone. Some managers  can't seem to do that... Sad Roll Eyes

Nice analogy!  Not sure what shops you have tried, but I met a guy that owns a shop out that way at a class in Charlotte.  I believe the name of the shop is AutoHaus maybe.....Don't really know much about him or his shop, but he seemed pretty cool and I had a pretty good impression from him.  Might be worth your time, might not be.
