Newb to Scopes in NC

Greetings from North Carolina.

I just got my new Pico 4 Channel and I'm putting it to work every chance I get on customer cars.  My initial purchase:

1  PicoScope 4000 Series 4-Channel Starter Kit
1 Coil-On-Plug Ignition Probe + TA033 BNC cable
1 FirstLook Engine Diagnostic Sensor
1 60A AC/DC Current Clamp (BNC)

There will probably be 1-3 more 20:1 attenuators purchased in the next few months and then we'll see how well I do from there.  I've already got a few other odds and ends that came with my DMM kit so I was able to save a little money there.

Anyways, thanks for the space and the forum, I'm sure I'll be on here a lot as I learn how to put the 4 Channel scope to work!

Welcome Doug.  Enjoy the forums.

You must have missed seeing our Lite kit:

http://www.autonerdz.com/picoquad4000lite.htm

We don't sell kits without the essential attenuators for each channel.  So this one has four as well as some other goodies and comes with our Picogroup resources access included.

All is not lost though, you can still subscribe to the Picogroup when you are ready.   Wink

Doug, Doug, Doug... I thought you purchased your Pico from Tom... You are getting a very small taste of what it means to purchase your Pico needs from the Autonerdz. The F150 thread will give you an idea of just how much we go into things downstairs in the Picogroup side of this site.

Welcome to the group. I look forward to seeing your posts.

Tom, thanks for the welcome and I did not see the autonerdz lite kit.  Not knowing who to buy from (and trust), I went straight to the source given the expense of my purchase.  It wasn't until after I started diving in to the scope world that I found this great site.

Fear not though, I'm sure there is still more I will need to purchase (the other three attenuators, a banana to BNC adapter, maybe pressure transducers somewhere down the line) at which point I can source them from autonerdz.com.

If my posting misled anyone about where I sourced my scope, it wasn't intentional.  I'm not looking to steal knowledge I just thought the areas that I was posting in and the nature of the posts were acceptable once a new member account was verified.

I skimmed over the forum some last night in regards to getting permission to posting in the Picogroup areas.  Any threads you can point me to for learning about what it takes to post there?
Thanks,
Doug

P.S. Danny, Asheville is an awesome area of NC!

No worries there.  You have the run of the place in all the general public boards.

The Picogroup areas of the boards are just one part of the comprehensive Picogroup resources.  It's a package deal.  The way the resources are integrated, we can't separate any one resource.

We are the original source in North America having introduced PicoScope to the automotive industry on this continent over a decade ago.
